River rafting auto program launched by ITT Hartford unit

Hartford Specialty Co., a unit of ITT Hartford Insurance Group, Hartford, Conn., launched an automobile insurance program for recreational river rafting businesses that transport customers and rafts to and from river locations in specially fitted vans and buses.

The program provides up to $1 million in automobile liability protection, uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, up to $35,000 for hired car physical damage and $50 per day for transportation costs. Clients must have at least three vehicles to qualify for coverage.

The program, administered by Walterry Insurance Brokers, Clinton, Md., is available in all states except Massachusetts, Hawaii and Alaska.
